Access to WHM is solidly via a secure (SSL) link. You can access your cpanel through https://gws.yourserver.com:2087 and replace the 'yourserver' with the actual servername you received in your welcome email. When you access WHM through http://yourdomain.com/whm you will be automatically redirected to the secure link. When you access through https://yourdomain.com/whm you will receive an invalid certificate warning. Always use the mentioned secure link method for your own security.
