Creating Hosting Packages

With WHM, resellers can create individual cPanel packages that caters to their specific users. A reseller has the ability to create packages for each customer type.

WHM Package Specifications:

Resource Allocation

  • Disk Space Usage
  • Data Transfer Usage
  • FTP Accounts
  • Number of Databases

Email Allocation

  • Set number of email accounts
  • Set number of email lists

Domain Management

  • Subdomains
  • Parked domains
  • Addon domains

General Settings

  • Assign dedicated IP
  • Allow shell access
  • Set custom theme

You can create hosting Packages in your WHM:

  1. Login to your WHM > click on “Packages”
  2. Click on “Add Packages”
  3. Enter the name of the package in “The Package Name” field and the maximum disk space the account can have in “Quota” field.
  4. Put a check mark in the “Shell Access” checkbox if shell access is allowed
  5. Enter the maximum number of items allowed in the “Max FTP Accounts”, “Max Email Accounts”, “Max Email Lists”, “Max SQL Databases”, “Max Sub Domains”, “Max Park Domains”, and “Max Addon Domains” fields. If do not want to set up any limits please choose “Unlimited”.
  6. Put a check mark in the “CGI access” checkbox if CGI Access is allowed (set always to "yes")
  7. Indicate whether FrontPage Extentions are allowed as well
  8. Choose the maximum bandwidth in megabytes allowed by the account in the “Bandwidth Limit” field.
  9. Choose cPanel Theme for the account or leave the default one in the “cPanel Theme” field
  10. Click on the default feature list for the account in the “Feature List” field or choose the feature list you need if you have already created one.
  11. Click on “Add”
  12. Repeat all the steps above for every package you create.

That’s it! Now you have your packages created.
